I may have nailed it
Hello and welcome back to "Listen, It's Asiah." In the last blog, I mentioned that I was going to discuss how everything will turn out. First, I'd like to talk about my sound. I'm still having trouble finding my full sound. I've been listening to the sound while recording, but it works differently on CapCut, to my understanding. I have to download a video from TikTok and then go into the app to extract the sound from the video. The problem I'm facing is that I can't find a video with the full song. I understand that I'm not filming the entire song, but I believe it would be easier to work with and cut from that. However, I keep finding adaptations of the song or it being cut short. I'm determined to keep looking since I already have my clips taken.
Next, I've been working on the transitions between shots. In my research on music videos, I noticed they often use a lot of jump cuts. Still, I also want to add my own unique touch to it. I previously mentioned doing a voiceover in past blogs, but that's not suitable for a music video. Regarding transitions, I'm thinking of adding something like sparkles or glitter on the screen, creating a push-and-pull effect. I'm excited about creating the ending credits with the plan of having rolling credits. I think it will add some humor, with just my name in the credits. I'm also considering adding a filter to the entire video to give it a vintage '90s feel or applying a dim lighting filter. I learned that subtle yet colorful lighting can attract more viewers to a video. I hope you're as excited as I am to see the final product. In the next blog, you'll witness my full execution. Until next time, don't forget to "Listen, It's Asiah."
