Hello and welcome back to Listen, It's Asiah. In the last blog, I stated how I was going to address how the rest of my filming went. I was able to get most of the shots that I wanted, just not all that were on the storyboard, but that's why there was a backup in place. I filmed in my neighborhood and used the clips that I already had and just shot them. I chose to keep the shots I have and just add on to that. It wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be when having to change things. Now, to finally get to the beginning of my editing. To start, I had a bunch of clips together. One, because I filmed on separate occasions, it was just a whole bunch of video. So, what I did was find where I wanted every video, and I had to place them in the song. I did end up getting rid of a couple of shots here and there or trimming a few seconds from some clips as needed. But after all this was decided, I moved on to the music to make sure everything lined up, and the videos matched th

In the last blog, I stated that I was going to be filming that day, well I was unable to have my break was not as long as I thought it was going to be. With that in mind I made it my priority to film the following day and this I was able to do. I started filming after school with the help of my mother. I was able to get two different shots I wanted the one with me pushing my hands down. An another with me just singing the song and dancing. I have come to realize that it is going to be a lot harder than expected to get the shot that I had initially wanted with me placed in the middle of the street as there are cars. So instead of getting the shot with me and putting my hands down in the street, we had settled outside a store. The reason I chose this spot was because of the lightning as the sun was setting so I knew it would be perfect for the line "and the sun brings to fade". I filmed at around 6 o'cloc

My first day of filming was a little rock as my day began with testing at school so I had to figure out a way to get to my filming location. This shot that I talked about being in my friend's room with us on the bed.  This is the first one of the lines "I wanna dance with somebody". I had ended up walking to my friend's house after testing which was a ten-minute walk. I should have filmed then but I can make up that shot sometime this week. But when filming this shot with my friend we were placed in a two-person shot. I never got around to locating a tripod so we had to prop the phone up on her gaming chair. when this failed to work we used the chair and a water bottle to place the phone on. This had put the phone had a low angle which was not ideal as I wanted a high angle but I had to make due with my resources as we did not have another person to hold the phone. With this, it took us a couple of times

 Hi and welcome back to listen its Asiah, so listen its Asiah. Okay so the last blog I said that I had planned to have started filming, I lied. No okay so I didn't lie as thing have gotten in the way and I was unable to counter them or control the extraneous variables. As one of the friends that i had planned on filming with had a last minute trip to New Jersey. So I clearly could film with her. Then I realized that I have rehearsals all week after school do I wasn't going able to film then which is completely my fault. But I have not let this hold me back and have planned to film after school on Monday because it s half day st school do I'll be able go somewhere with my friends to film. With that being said this means my mother will only have to pick me up and not have to drop off or get other people. I was planning on filming on the Tuesday after that to as there is not school that day but I will be going to school for testing. That will only last about a hour an a half a

Hi and welcome back to listen its Asiah so, listen its Asiah. I was unable to start filming this past weekend, but I was able to start mapping out what I was going to do. I was also able to communicate with my mother on how I was going to get around. I must explain to her that I do not want to film in just one location. But I had to deal with the fact that I have her driving my around, so my locations are limited as she wants me to stay in my town, I was able to confirm to I am fine with staying in town. Not that I had a choice. I am still in the process of confirming with my friend if they can be available for shooting these different takes. I was able to confirm one of my friends as she lives next to my school, so I can go over there and film the scene where I'm on my friend's bed. Since I say after already, I could go over there, and it works with both of our schedules. Another one of my friends I want in the video lives in Miami with is at least two hours awa

Hello and welcome back to listen its Asiah, so listen its Asiah. Board 1:  Me with my face close to a clock going with the lyric clock strike upon the hour, pointing at the clock. Board 2:  Me in the middle of the street pulling my arms up. Board 3 : In the same street but my arms going down. The proceeding to pick up a phone. Board 4:  Me sitting on my friends bed telling them about a boy. Board 5: Me and my friends dancing  as me demonstrating how I wanna dance. Board 6: Me on the beach infront of the sunrise with my arms going out like from the titanic in a "T" pose. Board 7: Me and my friends dancing in a aisle at the grocery store push a cart. Board 8: Me and my friends swinging on the swings at the park laughing and singing. Board 9 : Me and my friends walking down the sidewalk talking. Board 10 : Me splashing around in the water singing happily. Board 11: Dancing on the brigde near my house in the middle on the lake. Board 12: Me with more friends talking on the bed

  Hello and welcome back to listening to its Asiah, so listen to its Asiah. Props : A microphone headset or just a microphone. A shiny hat preferably silver. Location : I plan on using multiple locations as followed- Beach- solo shot with myself sing on the beach sunrise and sunset. Grocery Store- me and my friends dancing in the aisles. The street- me and friends dancing and laughing in street probably in the crosswalk. Park- me running around the playground looks though I am screaming the song. In the Car- I would have differnt shots in the car with just myself an then one with me and my friends. Schedule : I will probably on mainly a Sunday and Saturday as my mother is going to drive me to these locations. Also on the fact that I am in a group by myself and she is my only ride for this. I also plan on working with my friend that I want to put in the video so I have to know when they are a free. Then also work out transportation for them and probably getting my mom to picking them up

 Hi and welcome back to listen its Asiah, so listen its Asiah.  Escapism - RAYE Camera angles, Movement, and Shots: There were both tracking shots at the beginning and end of the video. There 3 take scence for when they were in the taxi and 2 take shot when she is looking at the camera hanging on the guy. There were eye level shots when she was doing her makeup and this switched going backa forth to point view shot with her looking for clothes. With extreme close up. Editing: In one shot it showed the singer with mouths replcaing the eyes and singing. Also in specific shot the camera does a black and white filter(the street). There blurring lights in the club. Sound: There was voice over in her saying what so was going to do. Mis-Ensense: There was red and blue lighting. There were night vision shots. The makeup for RAYE is dramatic and jewels were add to it at the end of the video.The makeup vocalizes the eyes. The acting seemed as thought she is begging and or crazy. She at a club in

  Hello and welcome back to listening to its Asiah, so listen to its Asiah. From the beginning of this project, I thought  that I was going to be working in a group of four. But it turns out that I will be doing it by myself. As two of the people that I was going to work with decided to work together without me as they thought it would make transportation easier. They failed to tell me about this until the last second. And the other person did not know if it was clear that we were working together, so they found another group. With this information, I went to find a new group with my friend from a different class period than mine and at first I thought I had found a group, as 2/3 of those members  were fine with me joining, but then one of the members change the opinion of the other changed then it was only 1/3 so I could not join. With all of this new information, I felt utterly  defeated  and did not know what to do as I did not want to be all alone, but here I am and I will be doing

 Hello and welcome back to listening to its Asiah, so listen to its Asiah. For this part of myself, it is about how I see the world of music. I have been listening to music since before I could talk. Also, my parents are on the older side, so I feel that I have a knowledge of older music which I love. Some songs, like cover songs by band names straight no chaser, and they have covered songs  like " man that can't be moved" and " sign, sealed, delivered", which are some of my favorite  songs by them. Also, my dad is a big fan of Frank Sinatra and one of my favorite  songs by him would be "Fly me to the moon", Moon which I love. Another one he played was the Song in the key of Life by Steve Wonder. Relearning about this album I also learned that my dad was mostly in charge of music choices with me and my siblings, not my mom. But growing up, my music has been changing nowadays, but nowadays I feel as though it changes my mood more than my whole style is
