Genre research: Thriller-Comedy
Hello and welcome back to listen it's Asiah, so listen it's Asiah. Today I watch for my research I watched the movie Free Guy. With this movie the costume idea was plain but it was a lot in the scene that it got the point across to the viewer. As the film is set to be a video or rather for better word a video game that comes to life with artificial intelligence with out the knowledge of know it. So when real people enter the game as player the actors are dressed in costume. So like actually video game character they look funny I my one of them was dressed up aa pink bunny and the other was the stereotypical view of a cop. With the prop pieces I thought they were very well throughout and were able to help move the story along. There were lot of prop pieces as this was suppose to represent a video game so for instance an person play the game when you saw the they were wearing a headset. Or for instance when in the game to characters had guns and other weapons letting the view know that it is a violent game. For the editing is was very extensive as it was not always what you are seeing during my research I found that they used CGI to to the background to make it more of being more. For example the scene where the "blue shirt guy" is look out at the ocean. There would be a lot of tracking shots or not necessarily tracking shot but the camera would stay with the actor at the time. This was to keep the viewers engaged at every point in the movie but also a like confuse on why they would be shown such small details. I like this genre it may have its fault here and there but over all it still provides that feeling of joy and amazement to keep one on ones toes. One of my favorite thing about it is that if the casting is off none of the punch lines will stick thats why there is a casting process. Since I am doing this by myself I hope I am able to stick theses punch lines. One things I don't like about though is at some points it can seem as though is to much happening. Way to fix that I feel is to leave so more to show at the end to add to suspense. In the next blog I will let you guys know what I chose. So until next time don't forget to, Listen it's Asiah.
